If you don't need 4 decks I would suggest saving yourself some money and headache. Go with the SL3. (FYI I'm running Scratch Live 2.4.3 on a 2011 Macbook Pro i5 2.3 Ghz 13' and a Late 2009 Dual Core 2.53 Ghz 15' both on Mountain Lion.).
